This is the story of a 2.5 week old Yorkie with a hernia. I first noticed it on 4/6/14 when I saw a lump in the groin area. This type of hernia is called an inguinal hernia and is considered genetic. However, I know up to 5 generations from both sides of her family and no one has a hernia! This is a mystery to me. Tomorrow, we will be going to the vets at 6:15pm and we will then see if it is an actual hernia or not. If it is a hernia then we will discuss what to do regarding surgery to fix it. I am hoping for good news tomorrow. If it is a hernia I will be documenting her story on this blog.
